Intertek中國大陸地區于2月10日開始運作，受國務院辦公廳和各地政府發布的防疫要求影響，中國大陸地區業務的恢復遇到短暫影響。隨著假期期間離開工作所在地的員工為期14天的隔離期的結束，自2月10日以來，我們的業務運營逐漸步入正規，目前已恢復到疫情開始前的95%。
Intertek香港辦公室已于1月29日復工。2月11日，Intertek香港制衣中心辦公室有一位同事確認感染了新型肺炎冠狀病毒。我們從2月11日，暫時性關閉了Intertek香港制衣中心辦公場所14天，并在第一時間制定了應急措施，最小化業務運營的影響，針對臨時調整的工作安排和客戶做了充分的溝通。Intertek香港制衣中心辦公室已于2月25日重新開放，Intertek香港恢復正常運作。

UPDATE ON NOVEL CORONAVIRUS: INTERTEK’S PRECAUTIONS AND PREPAREDNESS

Intertek’s first priority is always the health, safety and security of our people and delivering outstanding service levels to our highly-valued customers.
Our Commitment to the Health and Safety of our Employees
We have issued extensive communications to all our people in line with World Health Organisation guidance on how to minimise the risk of viral infection to them and others by taking effective hygiene measures and avoiding situations where the risk of infection could be heightened.
We have updated our Group Coronavirus Precaution and Preparedness Policy which is available here and we have reviewed the adequacy and suitability of our business continuity plans.
We have put a complete restriction on all international travel by our people.

At Intertek, our commitment to health and safety is a foundation which we affirm to all of our internal and external stakeholders.
Intertek provides mission-critical quality assurance solutions to its clients to ensure that they can operate with well-functioning supply chains in each of their operations.
Intertek businesses continue to operate with a Business As Usual approach around the world, recognising that there could be some disruption caused by government initiatives to contain the virus. Our Business Continuity Plans are fully in place across our operations and we are also staying in close contact with our customers to mitigate the potential disruption to the supply chains of our customers’ operations.
We have updated our customer service library to inform our clients about our specific Novel Coronavirus resources and services.
We can also guide new manufacturers on complex safety and quality requirements when producing critical care equipment to address the Covid-19 related health and safety risks globally.

Regional Update
Intertek has implemented extensive actions to manage the risk of infection within our operations and wherever we work for our customers.
While our Mainland China business started operating from 10 February, the resumption of normal business had been disrupted by mandatory national and local control and prevention measures which included quarantine periods of 14 days for certain colleagues who travelled during the holiday. Since February 10, we have seen a ramp-up in our production capacity and we are now operating with 95% of our pre-COVID 19 capacity.
Our Hong Kong operations resumed as usual on 29 January. On 11 February, it was confirmed that one of our colleagues who returned to work at our Hong Kong Garment Centre in Kowloon had contracted the Coronavirus and we took the decision to temporarily close the Garment Centre from 11 February for 14 days. We took immediate action to minimise the impact on our customers’ business operations and communicated to them new temporary work arrangements. Following that two-week temporary closure, the Hong Kong Garment Centre reopened on 25 February and Intertek Hong Kong is now fully operational.
Intertek Taiwan operations resumed as usual, on 30 January.
Intertek Korea continues to operate on a Business as Usual basis.
In Europe and the UK we are closely monitoring local Government mandates and guidance. We are operating on a Business As Usual basis.
In the USA we are closely monitoring local Government and State mandates and guidance. We are operating on a Business As Usual basis.
Rest of the World
Across the Rest of the World. we are closely monitoring local Government mandates and guidance. We are operating on a Business As Usual basis. We have implemented appropriate and extensive hygiene, control and prevention measures to manage the risk of infection within all our operations and wherever we work for our customers.
